RATT drummer Bobby Blotzer has released the following statement:

"I've been getting a lot of mixed feedback from RATT fans regarding my comments on Facebook, and I wanted to take a moment to clarify my position and hopefully provide some valuable perspective.

"Let me first say that I regard the band RATT as a national treasure and something I feel privileged to be a part of for 30 years. I feel like we create great music, and bring a signature sound different from other bands out there keeping rock and roll alive. It is my love for all things RATT that makes delays in touring, and creating music that much more frustrating.

"It's no secret that keeping a band together for 30 years is a tall order to fill. We met 30 years ago, and despite spending the majority of our lives on stage together, we do evolve into different people with different wants and needs in life.

"The last decade of RATT has been a collection of stop and starts. Given my love for the fans and music, it's been hard to wake up everyday not knowing if we were going to make another album or at least at a minimum tour the old catalog next to our fellow rockers.

"I am extremely proud of our new album, 'Infestation'. It was great getting back with my fellow Pi RATTs and finding out that our magic is still there. I want to continue. I want to make more music. I want to hang with the fans.

"For the first time in 29 years, I avoided attending NAMM. With a book to promote and fans that I love to shake hands with, this was a tough decision to make. I skipped this event for one reason, I couldn't bring myself to gloss over the fact that at the time of NAMM, I didn't know whether or not RATT was going to tour or make new music. I can't bring myself to lie about what I don't know. I apologize to those of you I missed.

"As of this moment, some members of the band have chosen to decide that they will choose whether or not we, RATT, tour. What I'm personally trying to do 24/7 is get the decision made so we can start to schedule tour dates, perhaps make another new album, and get back out on the road keeping RATT alive. RATT, for me, always comes first. Even with my entrepreneurial aspirations, it's RATT, baby!

"Currently there are a lot of messages coming out of areas of the Internet that don't have all the information, but in their own frustration are trying to find a person to place the blame. I understand since I threw out the first volley of my own frustration, I drew in a lot of misunderstanding and speculation on my own actions.

"I want you to know that I simply want RATT to continue year in and year out making great music and celebrating rock and roll with our fans. Regardless of any drama, know that RATT is alive and well.

Trying to stop the bleeding there Bob? I would say at this point SEP shut down the income of the rest of the band, revenge? If he doesn't tour with them they are fucked for the year, right now bands are booked for the summer and RATT doesn't have a band...ring ring ring hey Jizz you wanna get out of Walmart?

Juan Croucier: I don’t know, I have notes that I made over the years and stories I jotted down. I also have a ton of concert footage of the shows and behind the scenes footage. I used to set up a video camera at the mixing board of almost every show, and with any left-over tape I would captures us having fun.

So, I have all this stuff and really need to think of the vehicle to get it out there, but there are no plans as of yet. I have to say this about Blotzer’s book, he loved to have a good time on tour and he consumed. Let’s just say he loved to party. So any recollection of what went down should be taken within that context. It is what it is!

Is Blotzer implying that he's thinking of getting RATT together without Pearcy??!?? That would be a DISASTER and unacceptable!! It wouldn't even sound like RATT so forget it!!

If Pearcy is not there it is NOT Ratt!! Plain and simple!!

I don't think he's implying I think he knows he's fucked right now because even though SEP doesn't control the name he is in control of the bands future right now and Blotz is hating it, you gotta understand none of these guys have any of the $$$$$$$$$ they made back in the day except maybe Warren so the live year to year or tour to tour and I'm sure Robert is starting to worry about a summer paycheck.

they were young and having fun back then, many bands signed shitty contracts back then and were taken advantage of, even IF they had made millions back then you have to remember it's almost 30 yrs later , anyway I may have done many of the same things put in the same position.....just tired of the public bickering

Yeah but when you combine all the money they made from album sales PLUS touring I bet each member had to make around 10 million in the 80s. Don't forget all the worldwide record/CD sales and they were on some huge tours back then with Poison, Bon Jovi, Quiet Riot, and I believe they've even toured with Motley before. Plus I'm sure they had a little more money coming at them from merchandise and other areas.

Even if they only made 5 to 7 million and they just banked 20% of that you know how much money they'd have by now? Enough to live off of for sure.
