If the band cared as much about their music as we do they would be fine!

Being a die hard Ratt fan is frustrating enough without the band pulling crap like this in the media.

The band is always being lumped together w/ hair bands that frankly don't have a quarter of musical talent or writing skills that they do. They're Constantly getting overshadowed by Poison and Motley for reasons that don't even really pertain to the actual music.

So many people in the general public that weren't around for the 80's have never even heard of Ratt. Die hards are quick to point out the band's multi-platinum selling/arena headlining success to those around them..but it just falls on deaf ears. Considered a one hit wonder on Vh1?! How are Wanted Man,Back for More,Lay it Down,Your in love,Dance,Body talk,slip of the lip,I want a woman,& Way cool Jr. not considered hits??It's an absolute insult. The band should be considered a possibility for the hall of fame..not some passing novelty flash-in-the-pan joke!

Perhaps this is why true die hard fans are so passionate about this band. They never seem to get the credit they are due or get an honest objective critique w/o being correlated w/ Pretty Boy Floyd.Instead, we always seem to take it from both ends. The band never really acknowledging the fan base and only referring to the entire operation as a "Business", arguing with each other through the media, it really becomes " a little too much". Do they even realize how loyal their die hards are to them? I know they aren't getting tumbled over by masses of attractive co-eds like they were in the 80's..and perhaps the top 40 fans have came and went. But the true die hards have stuck around for some heavy depressing stuff..at what point is it our turn and not "Just a business"?

Get it together Ratt. If you aren't gonna recognize your fans and you're just in it for the money..fine...at least don't embarass yourselves in the media and fall apart internally. Go out and play some more kick ass shows, smile for the cameras and "Give it all"!

I understand that internal tension is an issue with most bands at some point. However, Bobby Blotzer's comments about DeMartini being a "rich kid" is just a low-blow. In my opinion this is not an example of being a team player & putting Ratt first.

The more I listen to Infestation the more I think it's one of their best albums yet (right up there with Cellar, Invasion, Dancing). It's very depressing to think that I may not get to see these guys on this tour, or get to hear another studio album. Blotzer should move over & let someone else sit in the drummers chair if he's really that miserable being a member Ratt.

Just read the interview. I can't believe Blotzer would go public with that junk. Wow. Come on man -- that's ridiculous.

I have talked with Robbie on the subject at hand. Stephen did indeed have the surgery and is doing rather well. The band is trying to work out the issues they are having. When there are people in a band or family that have their opinions which they are entitled to, not everyone is going to like it, so that is where you butt heads. Everyone has their own style and ideas and somehow through all the bullshit Ratt has endured from within, they have always come through for us fans. Infestation is our gift. Its kinda like sibling rivalry!! hahaha You fight and make up. I am sure things will all work out and the tour will be a huge succes! Lets all say a prayer, keep our fingers crossed and that they stay together! Because seriously guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!

I agree with you all, leave that stuff out of the interviews I am sure Bobby is not perfect but each one needs the other for sucess.

Interesting comments. IMHO, Ratt is indeed a business, or a means of generating income for the band members (i.e. it's a JOB), and it needs to be run like one. Surely there will be struggles and disagreements while they are in the huddle, but once the play is called they just need to go out and run it. Keep the crap internal and don't perpetuate the negative image that has been created over the past 20 years. Ratt has destroyed their brand (yes, brand, not band). As someone above has mentioned, less talented bands are making a killing these days due to self promotion, illnesses and constantly pimping themselves all over tv. Have these bands put out any good music recently? No!

Ratt seems to only get a mention on internet sites where mentally challenged posters flog them for their internal issues. Stop feeding the trolls.

Wow....and ouch. All bands go through their "creative differences", and I respect that [don't necessarily agree with it , but I am not a musician so what do I know about this stuff?], but like what already has been said, this is something fans have heard before. And, we are tired of it. It's high school drama, it seems to have no resolution or compromise, and it's repetitive.

Maybe there's some kind of reverse psychology going on spurring the negative comments - you know, talk trash about your bandmates and maybe more people will flock to the show in hopes of a fight? Look at all of the attention that this one article generated. But this is truly getting old guys...and I agree with some other posts. Either deal with this drama privately so that your FANS can enjoy your music....or move on.

Aside from that, I still love the music. I hope that they can work on these petty issues and continue to rock out.

It's easy to blame Bobby for criticizing other members. I wish he did it differently though.

What's going on now reminds me of what was going on with Robbin.
The apparent reason Robbin went into depression and use of drugs to escape is his ideas were less valued and
put into the corner, making him be just a guitarist, instead of one of the lead guitarists.

I actually asked Stephen back in '07 "Why did you make Robbin a side guitarist?" I don't think he gave me an answer but he talked about he wrote a song for him. It seems not making up their friendship at the end became a big scar for Stephen imo. Well, Robbin won't be back but Stephen can carry on Robbin's legacy by keeping RATT N' ROLL.
The outcome is INFESTATION, I believe.

The success of OUT OF THE CELLAR owes much to the beautifulness of twin guitars of "Round And Round". Robbin's playing should've valued as same as that of Warren's. Look what happened to the outcome of Warren's blues oriented solo albums. If his shining talent was the main reason of the success of RATT, his albums should've sold more.

All the members contributed to the success, not just Stephen and Warren who get more attentions.
Isn't that why Bobby making the problems in the band public? He may want the diehard fans to get involved in solving this long term issue coz he alone can't change it? Bobby helped RATT kept on going and he lost so much making that effort. His opinions should be valued equally. Don't let what happened to Robbin happen to Bobby. People who've met him know that he's as heart-warming as Robbin was.

Hiding problems under the carpet and pretending nothing's wrong won't solve anything.

The new album is true RATT N' ROLL and the chemistry is back. No doubt.
The chemistry of the whole band, not just the chemistry of two, is the key to the longevity of RATT.
