Hi all, I grew up on Rush, Sabbath, Ozzy and Zeppelin. I learned guitar by playing Metallica and Megadeth. I listened to everything cool on the Radio in the 80's and 90's.. so I did hear RATT but wasn't something I gravitated to since my scene was much different..METAL METAL METAL, I do consider Ratt GLAM/Hard Rock. Recently, I listened to my first RATT album and I love it. I find it amazing I haven't been more in touch with their music until now! You guys/gals are lucky you had the thrill of listening to the albums as they were released, did I ever miss out! However, I have a lot to go through, it's like my first time listening to some of these albums, awesome, great stuff! I just bought the latest album, and I am listening to it right now, I am wondering if I'll have a different perspective on what the BEST album is since I'm listening to the new stuff then will be introduced to the older stuff over time... Any album rants, raves, suggestions, opinions!? |

I listen to everything metal from Lita Ford to Slayer to Morbid Angel and everything in between. Ratt though..is my all time favorite. The best old album to start with is Out of the Cellar. Beginning to end it's just in your face amazing heavy rock. All the other albums are great too...but one thing I'd recommend is "song isolation" with stuff off of Invasion,Dancing, & Reach. I found when i first heard them that the overall brash sound on the albums kind of took away from the hidden genius song writing in the songs invidually, Try just listening to one or 2 of the songs at a time before ingesting the whole album in one sitting. Invasion is definitely a fan favorite. Just arena pop metal at its finest. Everything song is like a party unto itself. It'll take a few listens to win you over though! |

No band on earth has a better discography you know? I recommend all the classic stuff like Round and Round and Lay it Down but I think Dance is way underrated and is the ultimate party song! Of course Infestation kicks major as does Detonator and Reach! |

I listen everyone from Yngwie Malmsteen to Motorhead to Ratt I agree Ratt is underrated band and imho they were the best band from the whole LA Metal hard rock scene when bands were getting signed left and right. |
