After listening to the album, gotta say its fkng sick...Just absolutely sick. Eat Me Up Alive has that Judas Priest vocal sound going for it. Anyone else hear that influence? Also, Best of Me having been written by Carlos C just sounds like vintage Ratt. Its weird that he wrote it and it fits in with them so well. Who knew Carlos was a major writer like that? Props to you dude. Nicely done. Now, time to wait for the Temecula show. Looking forward to shaking Carlos' hand and telling him good job. I also wanna ask Robbie about his porno days working in sound heh.... Ratt N Roll ...... |

If any bands in the metal community denies being influenced by Priest, I think that's bull shit. Bands w/ young members may not name JP as their influence but the bands they mention such as Metallica are usually influenced by JP. When Stephen was a guest blogger for AOL Radio in April, he chose Screaming for Vengeance as one of his Favorite Albums of all time. "When Robbin turned me onto the Priest I almost lost my mind. What the hell is this? Talk about metal in your face, this record was intense and I'm sure the band were just getting started when I heard 'Sin after Sin,' but 'Screaming' is total Metal with a capital M!!! The metal gods, Priest set the standard after this record that no one could touch or get close to. My favorite band, I still play a Priest song when doing a solo show, I'm a big fan to this day and can never get enough of the metal gods.] Great record, stamp of the Priest!" I became a Ratt fanatic first before becoming a Priest fanatic. When I heard Stephen singing (saying) "Oh yeah" in 'Drive Me Crazy', that's the first time I noticed the resemblance of a feature of Rob Halford's broad styles. It was a goosebump moment realizing liking Priest essense before becoming their fan through RATT! Both Stephen and Rob started trends. Charismatic vocalists!!!!! I think Stephen naming "Battering Ramm" as his solo project comes from the lyrics of "Rapid Fire" from 'British Steel' which was played in its entirety last year. |
