Has anyone getting any airplay from your local radio stations for the new Ratt song "best of me"? I've e-mailed 3 stations here in KY asking to play it but they are really hesitant to play it..to 80's hair for them! Really sucks, I think the new song has that nickelback ....theory of a deadman...kinda 80's rock in a new 2010 rock format...hope you guys are hearing it out there! |

They played it on 105.5 WDHA in New Jersey. This is a rock station that plays a mix of old and new rock. |

Honestly, the only times I heard 'Best Of Me,' was on Friday Night Rocks with Eddie Trunk. -Jessica |

I haven't heard any of the new Ratt songs on the radio ... but then again, I don't listen to the radio. LOL Seriously, though. I only listen to CDs while I'm driving or at home. The reason being, I live in a small Arkansas town where the only radio stations are either country or pop. So, my choices are: (a) hear the latest from Rascal Flatts, (b) hear the latest from Lady Gaga, or (c) listen to a CD. Wait a minute, though, there's also (d) listen to cool 60s and 70s rock on a static-laden station that's almost out of range. Needless to say, I always pick (c). LOL If a local radio station in my area even played "Round and Round" at this point, I'd probably have a stroke. At least when I go out of town, the radio stations play cool stuff. |

@Rock_Chick83: Seriously, though. Isn't it weird that you can't hear anything good on the radio -- not necessarily just Ratt but anything -- yet you can practically set your watch by the latest "hits" from Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Justin Bieber or whoever else is the flavor of the month? I'm not knocking those artists or their cookie-cutter counterparts, but I'm sick of radio stations taking a handful of songs that have a lot of buzz and/or marketing money behind them and running them into the ground. Like right now, they keep playing that song "I'm Awesome." Sure, it's funny now. But will anyone think so a month from now after they've heard it so many times that it's encoded on their DNA? I don't think so. |
