Ratt Return to the Sunset Strip 4: Remembering Robbin Crosby
Posted by JenGuyre
Ratt got their legendary start on LA's famed Sunset Strip in the early 80s when hair metal was king. Then, (1983) it was frontman Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini, bassist Juan Croucier, drummer Bobby Blotzer, and late guitarist Robbin Crosby, who sadly succumbed to his heroin addiction in 2002.
Harkening back to their olden and golden ratt n' rollin' days with their new album Infestation in 2010 -- an album which Stephen Pearcy says, "is dedicated to our brother" -- the band looks back on where they started as they play their famed record release show at LA's Key Club on Sunset BLVD. In the latest video in the 5-part series documenting the adventure, the band remembers the gentle giant they called "King," Robbin Crosby.

Elvis was NOT the king. Robbin Crosby was!!
Robbin TOTALLY ROCKED!! He was the true glam member of the band and had the best look out of them all! He really LOOKED like a rock star!
I agree with widowmaker that on that VH1 special it seemed like the band sort of neglected Robbin. It would be nice if the band could give us some explanation of why they couldn't help their very good friend when he needed it the most.
I'm pleased with this video tribute but they could've made it even longer!!
RIP Robbin Crosby!! You rock forever!!

Robbin's kindness changed my life.
I pray for him every night.
People make decisions that they wish they've done differently.
Some realize it soon , later/ a lot later or some never realize it.
I wish some of the members could mend their friendship with Robbin before he passed away. Showing that they care for Robbin dedicating Infestation to him is better late than never imo.
It's really nice of Stephen to share lots of pics of Robbin on his MySpace page.
Robbin's music will last forever!!!!!
Thanks so much, Carlos for bringing back the greatness of twin guitar leads!!!

@widowmaker: That is bad no one would help I am sure they were dealing with all their own crap. Except for those that stayed off of shit. I had not seen him since the first album came out heard way after the fact about his downfall. I found it surprizing at best that he was addicted becuase he so didnt seem the type to even do drugs guess I was wrong. Either way I am sure they do miss him maybe they just could not help him.? He was in rehab in San Diego..
