Ratt, I just wanted to share with you a bit of information about a failure you may not be aware of at your Saturday evening show at the FORD AMPITHEATRE in TAMPA, FL. Five of us drove two hours, from Orlando, to see you and the Scorp for their last blowout. We heard your show in Orlando rocked, so we were very stoked for the show. I have seen you all at least four times in the past and it has ALWAYS been a great show. I am a fan from back when Bon Jovi was opening for you. However, this time, the sound was terrible at the venue. The volume dropped off about halfway up the stadium. When you played, we could barely hear anything. It was a minute or so into each song before we could even identify the song. We were sitting in the upper levels of the ampitheatre and were having a regular conversation. Every now and again, we would look down and it was like "oh yeah, Ratt's playing". When you all played, it was worse then standing outside the venue and were hearing what was happening inside. Right around the middle of the Scorps drum solo, we wandered closer to the stage to find that it was face-meltingly loud about 20 rows in. What gives? The venue blamed LIVE NATION for not using the rear speakers because there were no lawn seats. As a responsible band, you should have your mamangement address this situation and find out who is at fault for providing a poor concert experience to your fans. We all felt ripped off. The right thing would be to find a way to compensate the people in the back 1/3 of the ampitheatre some way, to prove what a class act you always seem to be. Thanks for the years of great music and entertainment! |

99% of the time, any opener for a headline act has their volume |

Yeah I've heard some of the recent live performances on youtube and playing wise they have been great but the power and volume appears to be lacking compared to past efforts.I'm completely certain it's due to the opener vs. headliner thing. Ratt has always been a band that likes to play LOUD. This is likely out of their hands. |

I attended the July 10 show in Nashville. I had wonderful seats, 2nd row in front of the stage. Sound was great, but Ratt was not "allowed" to come past a certain part of the stage that would have put them closer to the fans. In Nashville there was GA standing on each side of the stage and reserved seating in the very front of the stage. I was disappointed with the Scorps for not allowing them to use that remaining part of the stage. I was very excited about this show because I have seen the Scorps many times but never had the pleasure of seeing Ratt. Overall, it was a great show! Well worth the six hour travel time from my home in North Carolina. I would do it again in a heartbeat! |

Sorry to hear about that show. It's tough being the world's greatest band. This band should be headlining every show. I'd imagine sometimes fans will be disappointed. Of the four Ratt shows I have seen in the last year, they have yet to let me down, all as headliners. The highlight was last year with the triple bill of Ratt / Great White / Dokken, Ratt played all of OUT OF THE CELLAR and not in order. It truly was one of the most fun nights ever. Ratt N Roll Forever! 9/2/84, 9/27/85, 12/30/86, 6/30/87, 7/4/87, 4/18/89, 6/4/89, 8/30/98, 6/18/05 (Jizzy), 8/11/07, 4/18/08, 10/24/09, 1/16/10, 4/20/10, 7/29/10, 8/1/10. |
