@Upscope - .. hey - good to see there are a few diehards still around this ghost-town. .I agree that SEP probably doesn't really give a shit at this point. However, he may or may not regret his actions and decisions later. I am just putting my vote out there. ...which is....I am done supporting any Stephen solo efforts. IMO, he has done the fans and his bandmates wrong too many times. That is just my opinion. I guess I'm just saying that I WON'T be spending any more money with Top Fuel records or seeing Stephen solo. Besides, most of his solo stuff to date has been schlock, at least as compared against RATT. It is AA baseball versus the majors IMO. You see the good ideas in it, but....it hasn't risen to the level of RATT yet....not even close. The fans want RATT.....and besides the fans, no one else gives two shits about Stephen's career.

=SeattleRATT said: SeattleRATT, you know in this day and age it is next to impossible for 80s metal bands to make it big. Even Motley Crue's latest didn't do that great. Now that I check it has sold half a million copies and debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts. Infestatioin debuted at #30 in America and #5 in Japan so after all these years RATT is still big in Japan! I rememer Crosby talked about how big they were over there. I'm just saying that RATT has sold over 30 million copies worldwide so their place in history is pretty secure. OF COURSE they should've been bigger and they're WAY better than Motley and Poison but a lot of that is marketing gimmicks and tactics and having Hollywood type members like Tommy Lee and Bret Michaels to spread your noteriety. Look at bands like Kix, Trixter, and Tuff who they and their fans say should've been a lot bigger but never made and now it's much too late for them. Those bands never even had 1 platinum album with the exception of Kix who had just one. The irony is Kix's discography blows away Poison yet look how much bigger Poison is? You can even make a case for Kix against the Crue yet most people haven't even heard of Kix!! Or what about a band like Cinderella who had 2 multi platinum albums and then basically dropped off the planet as lead singer Kiefer has had vocal cord troubles. I'm just saying be thankful for whatever we've gotten from RATT and let's keep supporting them to help them be as big as possible! |

Hey SeattleRatt- SEP's been stone cold sober for over a year. If anyone needs Dr. Drew it's Blotzer. |

Stephen Pearcy says that the band will remain inactive for the remainder of 2011 while he pursues other projects, including the release of a new solo album. Writing on his Twitter profile, Pearcy says, "RATT with me involved will not be active [in] 2011, maybe longer. No new record, tour, or life with me until things are back on track! Until then, M.I.A.

Yeah, I saw that tweet. He's basically saying RATT is in a trap without him.

Isn't that just great--Ratt's on hold for at least a year while Stephen does his thing. I say start the auditions and replace his sorry a$$ already!!! I bet Ratt with someone else on vocals would still pull in more fans and revenue than Stephens solo band. With the right management and the right marketing it could work. There just needs to be a better effort on that end than there has been in the past. Warren, Bobby, Carlos, and Robbie--don't let SEP spoil a good thing here--find someone else and hit the road touring. Fans want more RATT!!!! |

Not really sure what to say about all this but there must be more to it than we know, I am sure SEP and the rest of the band know how well Infestation was received by everyone, I am also sure that they all know that the band needs each other to continue being RATT, there are issues between SEP and Bobby we all know that, the book which really was not very good did not help, why would you write about other band members finances, you don't know what the others have, talking about Warren and how much he has etc etc, I just read the Vince Neil book he talks bad about the others in the book due to some situations but at the end of the book he patches things up so to say, he knows what a machine Motley is and how well they do when the 4 of them are playing just look at the next tour. Bobby's book was about how much he hates the other members in the band and how much money he can make and have weather he is drumming or cleaning carpets, he always talks about money lots of interviews he talks about money. What I get out of it is that SEP has shown what he can bring to the band and that they all need each other and he probably want an equal cut out of it, once that is taken care of they will be back 2012, I wouldn't be surprised to see Juan back this time around, but as I have read in another post here is that being a huge fan it is a little embarassing being a fan with all the BS that keeps going on, I have been a fan since I was 14 I am now 40 that's a long time and alot of that time was spent hoping they would get back together. I just wished that they would have cashed in this time because they could have toured Infestation till June and then taken the Summer off or better yet tour with Motley and Poison that tour is going to sell huge. RATT is missing the boat again. Sorry for the long rant but I just wish they would get along and just tour yearly we would all go, I have traveled far to see these guys. |
