I'm not sure about this show, but I have brought a camera in the Cubby Bear before for shows. Then again it was for Sponge and another was for Steve Howe...that I can remember.

The show was EXCELLENT! The guys are definitely firing on all cylinders. We just got home 30 minutes ago, and I have to work on Friday. So, I will post more details tomorrow night.

By the way...the M&G was well worth the c-note. I didn't get a photo with the band, but got a bunch of things signed....including Infestation by everyone and my QR Metal Health LP by Carlos!

Point Break! I SAW YOU! You were right by us I was wearing a hat that said y2j/SAVE US on the front and a black zip up hoody jacket, had things not been so rushed i would have said hi! did anyone on here record the show? It was like point break said ..Awesome, I am glad I did the VIP deal and went to this show!

Dang, you should have said HEY....it was packed as heck in there, wasn't it? The VIP thing was a cool experience, and I'd do that again should they come back to Chi-town in the fall. What did you have them sign? Did you get any photos? I wanted to take some photos of the show, but I was way too far back and said the heck with that. I thought about a photo or two during the VIP thing, but that was nuts!

Here are my thoughts, now two days later:

1. The show was incredible. Having seen them before with Jizzy (which sucked, due to his vocals) and Stephen solo with his bastards a few times (which were great each time), I was looking forward to seeing the real RATT together again. Literally from the first few notes, they did not disappoint. This show was kind of the best of both worlds: a hits setlist packed with gems from the new album. I doubt anyone left disappointed, music-wise, and I know we did not either! Personally, I feel Infestation is one of their best albums top to bottom. I think it could have come out in 1986 and been huge!

2. The venue was great for this type of thing, even though it was crowded. The only downfall, for someone like me, is that the stage is not elevated much. Thus, I was in the back and could not see much. I guess we could have gotten in line hours before the doors opened, but due to work, that would have been impossible. Interesting mix of fans in the crowd for sure.

3. The M&G was well worth $100, and I would do it again if/when they come back. RATT's crew/people were nice guys and it was run pretty well. Everyone lined up, and got their stuff signed. All four were totally cool. Carlos also signed my Metal Health LP and when I told him I'd be hunting Rudy down this summer, he replied with "don't worry. He's around." Having met Warren, Robby and Steven before, I knew they'd be cool, and appreciatve and they were. It was a bit of a madhouse once Blotz showed up after the signing session, with everyone wanting him to sign stuff too. He's cool, though, and was talking with a fan about his book. I need to get it, and I could related with my own co-workers with a few things he and the fan were talking about. Nothing bad, just the way it is.

4. After the M&G...photo time...a bit crazy. Someone volunteered to take photos with the guys. People hopped in and out. It was interesting, though, because fans were asking the guys to sign stuff, so I am guessing not everyone was looking in each photo. Oh well. Saying hey, and getting my things signed were my priority, and they delivered. I had everyone sign Infestation and Blotz signed my Out of the Cellar and RATT booklets (I already had Stephen/Warren on them).

5. While my wife was sleeping in the car, I had a nice chat with one of their crew members (the big guy with glasses and the goatee). He's a hell of a cool guy, and it sounded like he's been with RATT forever. We talked about the current tour, future plans, and the fact that he used to be in a band with Mick Mars' wife! Cool stuff, indeed. He even asked me what I thought of the show, VIP thing, and so on-that's cool. Sometimes crew members don't give a crap about that stuff. He said he was on the VH 1984 tour, and when I asked about the brown M&M's, he replied with a "no comment"...good stuff indeed! I wished him a successful rest of the tour and safe travels before seeing Warren outside...

6. Warren was then outside with the fans, signing more stuff. He may be one of the most fan-friendly rockers I have ever met, and I have easily met over 100 different rockers. He signed a photo I had, and it looks amazing! I debated waiting for Blotz to come out to sign my photo, but it was too late. Maybe next time.

Show was good not great. I think they had a hard time hearing each other. Did you not see them constantly taking to each other ? They could not hear one another JMO My pic is from the Cubbie show.. Great job Warren.....
