Why is Ratt opening for the Scorpions? I'm going to the July 14th show in Atlanta......I was surprised to see that this bill is The Scorpions with special guests Ratt. What gives?

I think the simple fact is that the Scorpions are a bigger draw than Ratt. Promoters would likely not be willing to put Ratt in the headlining slot on an arena/amphitheater tour at this point. As hardcore Ratt fans, we think differently (of course), but it all comes down to finances.

It seems like it's been a pretty lean summer for concerts in general, especially for the old school hard rock / metal shows. Not much to get excited about this summer.
