Miami.com Feature: "Ratt Still Going Round"
While touring with the Scorpions across the US, Ratt stopped in Miami to bring their catchy brand of Ratt N' Roll to the masses. Miami.com was on hand to not only check out the show, but to talk to frontman Stephen Pearcy. "Ten years have passed since Ratt last debuted a new album, but with the release of Infestation in April, the heavy metal rockers are back in full invasion mode," writes the site.
"Known for '80s anthems Round and Round, Lay it Down and Wanted Man -- as well as their stylish videos, complete with Spandex and scantily clad women," continues the site. "Ratt went on to sell more than 20 million albums worldwide and play more than 1,000 shows."
Read an excerpt of their Q&A with Pearcy below, go right here to get the whole feature, and pick up your copy of Infestation now at this location!
Q. What's it like playing Miami some 25 years after first playing the Hollywood Sportatorium?
A. Very cool. A lot of people out there, which helps.
Q. Did you think you'd still be doing this today?
A: I didn't think I'd be doing this two years after we started. But I mean it when I say … and I say it all the time - it doesn't matter if it's 10 people, a hundred, a thousand or ten thousand, it's all the same. It's a party.
Q: Do you have a favorite song to play live?
A: Of course Round...people go nuts for that. But I also like Lay it Down, and the new stuff is really cool. It's going over very well. Except when we do the shorter set, we can't throw in too many new songs. The next rodeo around we'll be doing the full set.

Currently on tour with the Scorpions in the US, Ratt are hitting ampitheaters nationwide in support of their brand new album (and first in 10 years) Infestation. Tapping their early-day sound for a new generation, the addition of Quiet Riot guitarist Carlos Cavazo alongside their legendary axeman Warren DeMartini results in some ripping riffs.
Check out a few photos of the guys performing their tracks -- both new and old -- while on the trek in Miami below, and check MonstersandCritics.com for the full set, including shots of the Scorpions.

Ratt To Play Free Fan Appreciation Show in L.A. This Thursday
What better way for a band to show its love for its fans than by playing a free show in their hometown? Ratt, who earned their spot in the Sunset Strip’s legendary and historical rock pantheon with a parade of hook-filled anthems that went on to define the ‘80s, will play a free, “Fan Appreciation” show at the Key Club in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 29.
That’s right. We said “free!” No gimmicks. No fine print. No tricks. The show is 100 percent free for fans anxious to Ratt ‘n’ Roll on a hot July night!
This free show is presented as part of the Sunset Strip Summer Concert Series and is being sponsored by BING. The show will be filmed for a forthcoming, feature-length documentary about the famed Sunset Strip, where some of the most culturally relevant bands of the past four decades were spawned. The documentary will also feature X representing the ‘70s; Jane’s Addiction representing the ‘90s; Pussycat Dolls representing the ‘00s; and of course, Ratt representing the ‘80s.
Tickets are available here: www.therattpack.com/contests/lagiveaway, so get them now, because they are guaranteed not to last.
Ratt’s new album, Infestation, their first studio effort in over a decade, is in stores now. The band is currently touring with The Scorpions and will remain on the road through September. Infestation has been celebrated as one of best albums of Ratt’s career. Revolver said the record “plugs directly into the sound and spirit of their glory days” while Guitar Player pointed out that Infestation has “killer tones and great technique.”
